I am fluently bilingual and it will be a pleasure for me to greet you in the language of your choice! I was raised in rural Manitoba on a farm, the second youngest of nine children. I studied at the College universitaire de Saint Boniface where I received a B.Sc with a major in microbiology. I continued to study at the University of Manitoba where I received my Diploma in Dental Hygiene. I had the opportunity to work as a dental hygienist in Atlanta Georgia for four years. My journey brought me to Gatineau and I have been a member of Dr. Iwanoff’s team for the last 15 years. I have a wonderful husband and four beautiful children. I have three boys and one girl: ages varying between 9 and 18.
I am very involved in my children’s activities and lives and enjoy volunteering with their school activities and sports teams. I have been team manager, assistant coach and head coach over the years for hockey, soccer and ringette teams. I helped develop an U8 program for the Association Ringette Gatineau and was in charge of the U10 development program. I received several awards from associations that underline my volunteering achievements.
I enjoy my profession and will greet you with a smile. I strive to provide the best dental hygiene experience possible. I want you to be able to achieve your oral health goals comfortably and with a little humour.
I enjoy taking continuing education courses and continuously read dental journals and peer reviewed articles. If I don’t know the answer to your question I will find out. I’d love to share with you how optimizing your oral health improves your overall health, whether it may be the relationship between gingivitis and diabetes, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, stoke and the list goes on. I’d love to discuss how you can decrease your caries risk. I little bit goes a long way!
